Our patients and referral sources always have a choice as to where they choose to go for outpatient physical therapy services. As a convenience and access to our physicians, we offer in clinic physical therapy.

Operations Manager

Michael has over 12 years experience providing outpatient orthopedic physical therapy care to the Knoxville community. Michael consults with and provides care to area high schools and community college sports teams. Additionally, Michael has significant experience assisting individuals return to work. He has directed work conditioning programs, developed pre-employment screening tools and is certified to perform functional capacity evaluations. He focuses on an exercise-based therapeutic program, complemented with manual therapy interventions. Michael is an Orthopaedic Certified Specialist (OCS).

Julie Goss, P.T.Julie Goss

Julie has been a physical therapist since 1995 and has several years experience in outpatient orthopedics, acute care, inpatient, rehabilitation, geriatrics and sports medicine. She spent several years in Atlanta working at various orthopedic, sports medicine and spinal rehabilitation clinics. In Knoxville she has been a long time employee of Covenant Health. Goss Received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Iowa followed by a Master of Science degree in physical therapy from North Georgia College in Dahlonega, Georgia.

Deena WhiteDeena White, P.T., CSCS

Deena has more than 18 years experience providing physical therapy care in a wide variety of treatment settings with an emphasis in outpatient orthopedics, sports medicine and work rehabilitation. Deena graduated from Southern Illinois University with an Associate of Science in physical therapy asst. and a Bachelor of Science in pre physical therapy. The spouse of a recently retired Air Force officer, Deena has practiced in six other states since completing her Master's in physical therapy at the University of Iowa. Deena joined Active Life Physical Therapy in 2007.
